Clubs and crews in the community

Anywhere you go in the automotive world you're gonna find some sort of club, crew, or group. Whether that be a collection of specific cars, or a tight-knit group of friends it sparks a lot of conversation/speculation about the legitimacy of the cars involved or what standard the people involved supposedly hold themselves. The photographs you'll be seeing are of TJ Mimura (Subaru WRX) and Cameron Walker (BMW E36) who are both a part of a local group called UNLUCKY. This group is one of just a few in Boise area but seems to get the most attention out of the community.

Now, the attention that this group gets is not always good attention. Again, sparking a lot of conversation about the group since they are a very tight group of friends and can come across as a "Don't sit with us" kind of attitude. However this is one of the only groups I've ever felt truly keeps to what they are about and are some of the most inviting, relaxed people with a mindset of just having some sick looking stance cars and having a good time with your friends. There has been plenty of internet hate back and forth from people in the group, and people outside the group but they hold true to being "Always for the culture" as they say.

Now, the main man behind a lot of this negative attention being Cameron as he has a very "No fucks" attitude clearly shown by his E36 being on cut springs. But Cameron is a very funny individual once you actually talk to him in person and really just wants to have a car that's static and can scrape. It's easy to catch him throwing sparks down the street, 5 people deep with top down having an awesome time. TJ on the other hand is one of the easiest going people you'll ever meet. Not only is he easy to get along with but he truly appreciates the culture surrounding stance and many other aspects of the automotive world. He curates a specific taste in wheels, and a killer style that stands out from the rest.

What really needs to be taken away from this is that no matter what group, club, gang, clique you're involved in, each person has a passion or appreciation for something in the automotive world which can be shared no matter how "exclusive" they seem to be. We had a couple of the other UNLUCKY boys on our ride up to the location at Bogus Basin one of them being another photographer Malcomb Scott, his instagram will be down below to check out some more photos from the day along with TJ and Cameron's to see more of their cars. This is just a quick peek into the UNLUCKY group, as soon as I can round them all up in one place I'll be making a huge post on each person and their vehicles.
